Poetry Is My Passion

I just wanted to thank everyone who has supported me during the creation of my first poetry collection. My poems have received an overwhelmingly positive response on Twitter and Instagram. Many of you have shared and posted them. It was simply a chance that I took and I fell in love with it. It was important to me to make people feel something. The hope to heal people through my words was my pursuit.

Many people who have never met me have told me that my words helped them to feel better or made them cry. Never did I once stop and think my words would make others feel something. Sure, I have written a work of fiction for which I have received praise. My true passion, however, lies in writing poetry. There is something so raw and beautiful about writing poetry. The process by which you jot down all the words and emotions swirling around in your head. Furthermore, I did not miss stressing about making sure everything was just perfect. After all, perfection is not possible in poetry.

The fact that my book will be published in only five days is still hard to believe. What began as a simple seed of an idea has grown into a full-fledged literary title. I want to thank everyone who has been there for me since the beginning. There have been some amazing poets and writers I have met, and I am looking forward to meeting more.
